English League Football ** spoilers ** [27th - 29th August 2010]

Was my first game at OT yesterday (okay I went years and years ago but cant remember anything about it)

Was odd being there it seemed more like a kickabout than a competitive match, West Ham were awful. By far the player that excelled the most was Vidic, he was immense!

Odd people over at the CAF praising Berbatov and Nani, I thought both were very quiet albeit Nani missed a few easy chances (especially the one on one where he lifted it over the bar)
 
In a game that West Ham were awful and couldn't produce anything in the final third, a defender excelled? You can't see why people thought Berbatov was good, scored, and was constantly involved in every move with the ball going to him and pretty much always going somewhere useful afterwards.

Vidic had a quiet game, he had almost nothing to do, Cole got very little of the ball and even so Cole constantly won headers from long balls, FAR more than Vidic did, he just didn't have anyone to pass the ball too.

Dyer was crap, he got the ball lots, ran lots, refused to pass when he had the chance. Noble was truly awful in the first half, better towards the end of the second but he just wasn't good enough, Spector is a joke. If they can get Collison fit again, Faubert at right back, Collison and Barerra(if he comes good) and Behrami if he stays alongside Parker, with two up front then West Ham have some good quality, none are playing in their form of two years ago though.

West Ham did look infinately better in a 4-4-2 though, Cole HAS to have someone to work with otherwise every header he wins is a complete waste, he has the strength and workrate to win balls all day long but is more of a passing/creating player so needs another striker to play off, Noble is too slow and not good enough to get in the box to support the strikers.
 
I hope Heskey starts for Villa today. :D

We've got to step it up today, if we play like we did against Wolves and Blackburn then Villa are going to have an easy day....Heskey will probably get a hat-trick! Hope Moyes's selection is more adventurous and attacking today.
