English League Football ** spoilers ** [27th - 29th August 2010]

I bet that at the start of the season, if you had said that the first time Liverpool played West Brom one of them would be in the bottom three, not many would have guessed which one it would be :(

lol, cheers BBC. Put a picture of a Stoke player next to Terry for the accompanying "Terry and Lampard out" article to help fuel the pre-determined impression that all the clueless tards have about us, even though their injuries were pre-match. Nice one.

So everyone is a clueless tard because Stoke are a damn rough team who like to try and cripple every player on the other team?

Riiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiight ;)

Nani came inside, he dropped deep, he went wide, he went through the middle, he picked the ball up off the defence and set off attacks, he scored a goal, set up a goal, got some tackles in, harrased the man on the ball.....

The side just looks so much more dynamic going forward when he plays on the right, theres no getting away from the fact he is a poor mans Ronaldo, but by the same token there is no getting away from the fact that Valencia is a poor mans Nani.

Only 60 of them turned up lol. To put that into context a small London team in the Championship took 1655 fans to Derby today.

Derby to London is hardly far and you would if your team was top of the league.

Why should Wigan fans pay so much money to go away, when they cant even play football at home.

Its not rocket science, Wignaers are not on London wages

Also it shows you, you dont need fans to win a game, Wigan will have 0 fans against Sunderland

It's true Nani has the greater ability of the two and the greater goal threat. But at the end of the day, as wingers, their primary job is to consistantly put in accurate and well timed crosses/passes. In this respect Valencia could still teach Nani a thing or two.
Having said that, it's often missed just how much better Nani plays in his actual position (big surprise). Too many have judged him on his displays on the left side.
But if he can become as comfortable on the left as he is on the right they will make a solid pairing.

Nani's just getting a decent run of games to show what he's about.

I imagine for any player, being in and out of a first 11 can be difficult, performances suffer.

I dont think he should have to learn to play on the left, he is far FAR better on the right than the left, I'm sure Valencia is a lovely fella, but I've always seen his transfer as a waste of money, only brought about by Fergie insisting on forcing Nani to play out on the left when he simply isnt any good there.
Of course, Nani was never going to get a right hand slot in the team when Ronaldo was in the side, but all that should have happend was when he left, they just moved Nani over there and gave him games and spent the money on a proper left winger (of which we still only have one, in Giggs).

Chelsea looking ominously good so far, they haven't had the hardest of starts but they have brushed aside everyone without really breaking sweat.
