English League Football ** spoilers ** [27th - 29th August 2010]

As little as I like Barcelona as an institution, Real are absolutely balls in comparison when it comes to watching

Mallorca nearly scored there, wasn't offside either.

Real Madrid look very meh at the moment, its only slightly interesting when Ronaldo gets the ball :/

Luke Young was OUTSTANDING today. Finish of a striker, launched himself at everything, made timely tackles and made numerous superb blocks. 10/10 for that lad. However, I used the same phrase earleir when describing us. Totally devoid of any ideas whatsoever. Carew was poor today, very poor. However, I said we'd probably start winning games without journeymen like Heskey, Beye and Cuellar, players which don't contribute anything to the team. This happened today, and we won. Cuellar you could argue about, as he's a good CB but an utterly toss RB.

Have to give Everton credit, they tore us to pieces but just couldn't score. Very creative they were, and that kid Coleman was brilliant.

Just back from the Villa game,a welcome 3 points,if i was an Evertonian i,d be be absolutely gutted, they have a good team, but just couldn,t get the ball in the old onion bag, thats football all over though. We will play better than today and lose, thats how it is.

Real Madrid 0 - 0 Mallorca, very boring game and Real Madrid didn't look like trying anything new under Jose. Disappointing :(

Derby to London is hardly far and you would if your team was top of the league.

Why should Wigan fans pay so much money to go away, when they cant even play football at home.

Its not rocket science, Wignaers are not on London wages

Also it shows you, you dont need fans to win a game, Wigan will have 0 fans against Sunderland

You must admit though, 60 away fans is embarrassing. Surely it must be a Premiership record and it was a bank holiday weekend as well not some Tuesday night winter fixture in Plymouth.

Poor poor Liverpool performance. Looked like an end of season game or a side on hold- which they are- just really lacklustre from both teams.

Couldn't wait to leave, granted it's three points but come on....this is West Brom.

I just read John Wark's autobiography, that poor fella was on £800 a week in the 1986 team that won the double. Incredible when you think about it. There was more passion and desire in one player than the whole lot of em today.

Totally agree looking at some of our players on the pitch. There's just too much money involved and once you're a millionaire there are some who just don't bother any more.
