English League Football ** spoilers ** [30th October - 2nd November 2010]

The linesman flagged as when Nani went over he grabbed the ball - it was handball. Clattenberg didn't give it, Gomes thought it was a free-kick as the linesman was flagging and put the ball down, Nani pinched it and scored. I'm not sure whether the ref or the keeper is more at fault. They're both absolute burks.

This is going to be the most fair and neutral post in the whole of this thread.

So what have we learnt today? Nani's a bit of a ****, Clattenberg is an embarrasingly bad ref, and Gomes has it in him to make utter howlers.

In fact, we haven't learnt anything.

Any chance ESPN's commentators are Spurs fans?

They're forgetting that they themselves said it was a penalty.

Didnt look like a pen to me, there was barely contact, and then to decide some 4 paces further on "okay, im going down" discredits any claim.

He went down afterwards but that doesn't make the initial pull not a foul. Players shouldn't have to throw themselves to the ground in order to get fouls, as soon as Nani got pulled back it was a foul.

Im not disputing that.
Do you remember the Mascherano red at the toilet a few seasons back?
All he said was "What the ****!"

And gets a Red.

Ferdinand was yelling abuse for how long? not even a talking to.

Respect campaign my arse. One rule for the few, and another for the masses.
