Had a few more goes on this over the weekend on lone fighter mode and enjoyed it more than the squads mode. Thankfully still not ran into any cheaters yet.

I didnt realise HLL had bots. Shame thats sort of put me off now, I bet thats why some squads just never talk.. they are AI

Oh it doesn't! It's just completely full of people not speaking and playing it like a Battlefield game unfortunately.

Great game when played properly, really enjoy HLL

I got 3rd place with radio troop just spamming arty every 30 seconds lol...

some maps seem terrible for arty though like you can pick tons of spots and never hit anything.
I think I just stick to spamming arty and not shooting in a single shot, reminds me of the general mode in bf2 or whichever one it was

idk its kinda limited the allies/enemy teams don't have the same map boundary so half the time the majority of the enemy will be sniping from the dark border of the map where the game wont let you drop arty, and otherwise most people just hide in houses.

tanks can take a ton of arty hits, seems rare to kill them even if you drop 4-5 arty on them.

the best thing about arty is probably the suppression and shaking it causes, most people are probably not going to die unless they get a direct arty hit which is kinda rare but it causes people to waste med kits or finishes off the half hp people nicely.

it's basically one squad doing nothing too but afk spamming, some games I'm up in 3rd got really lucky, other games I'll be as far down as 8th place and seems like enemy are immune to arty so it's probably balanced enough

Mortar teams are fun as well. Havn't unlocked them yet, but while I was sat in a AA emplacement, a guy infront of me was using 1. He was firing off a shell every 2 seconds.

So i played so more and unlocked the solo mode where you play without AI squad mates and its 10x better.
Its no hell let loose but its pretty good in its own right.

I played this last night with a mate, really enjoyed the maps, sound and themes, its a break from the fast pace of WZ I guess
