Entry Level Satnav

My dad has a Garmin Nuvi 250 and I've borrowed it a few times, works perfect. My only minor gripe is when you first turn it on it can sometimes take a while to find the GPS satellites but I think that's more to do with the signal, not the unit itself.

Yep !!
Bought the Nuvi 200 and it got me home from the shop no problem even when I purposefully went a different way. Re-calculated the route in about 3 seconds.

I'll have a proper drive and give it a more thorough test soon :)

i personally think the best non tom tom for the money is the myguide 330? it can be had from a competitor for £85 inc postage and is brillaint , ( i have one)

Can anyone tell me if the Nuvi 300 for £119 is a good deal and what this gives me over the Nuvi 200?

How does the speed camera database work? Does it automatically update or if the subscription runs out does it just leave you with your latest downloaded database?

Thanks.
