It's still saying that it's free for me. Doesnt really matter though as I cant add it to my collection because whenever I try, it just gets stuck on an endless 'loading' cycle.

It keep signing me out when i tried to check out from the app, about 5 attempts). Managed to do it through the website (3 attempts)

I watched a YT play through of Death Stranding and considered it one of the best pieces of story telling in a game I’ve seen.

I’ve been playing through Death Stranding for a couple of months now so the wife can watch it, and it’s a tough slog there’s a bit too much ‘walk from point A to point B, then to point C, back to point A, on to point D’ in between the incredibly gripping (yet horrifically typical Kojima) plot pieces.

If you can stomach the exploring, it’s one of the best game stories around.

Have I understood this, you watched someone else play the whole thing and then decided to play it?

"UPDATE: You can search "Death Stranding" and select the BASE GAME. That one is free and can be redeemed. It worked for me.

They might have made the Director's Cut free by mistake and disabled it. They'll most likely correct the free game to be the base version on the store page.

UPDATE 2: I was right. The free game on the main store page has now been corrected to the Standard Edition and we're now able to redeem that."

Seems that have given away DC by mistake and are revoking it.
