Epic is giving away big games for the next few weeks again

If it is that then Cat Quest is fairly decent, worth a quick go for a freebie. Simple gameplay and very pun heavy, not sure I ever finished it in the end though. I've not tried the second one to comment on that.
I've been looking at those games for a while now. So if they are free that will be pretty purrfect for me.

It's that time of the year again, 4 meaningful games. What are everyone's predictions?

I'm going to say;
Metro Exodus, highly likely, hopefully the complete edition
Kingdom Come Deliverance
Doom 2016 and/or Eternal
Wolfenstien game(s)
Quake Campions andor some or all Quake games
South Park RPG game(s)
Elder Scrolls Morrowind
Crysis remastered collection
Dying Light platinum
Dead Island remastered and maybe Retro or Rampage
Indiana Jones games maybe with some classic LucusArts games
S.T.A.L.K.E.R games(s)
Mass Effect games(s) (probably not due to EA)
Hitman game(s)
Tom Clansy game(s)
Star Wars game(s)
Yakuza: Like a Dragon or other Yakuza games
Prince of Persia/Assassin's Creed games(s)
Hades
Dragon's Dogma: Dark Arisen
Tekken game(s)
Fallout new Vagus
Back 4 Blood

There is generally a reason for the giveaways, Ark promoted Ark 2 for example, Borderlands 2 promoted 3 and 3 the DLC. Metro is almost certain at some point due to Metro 4 and the other games I predicted promote sequels, DLC or microtransactions. Also need to consider which devs/publishers generally partake. Unlikely to get highly popular games' predecessors such as Helldivers or Bloodlines 2.

So you just need to think which "headline" games meet those criteria.

Out of interest where are you getting this from? I thought the rumour was Dragon Age Inquisition.
From the clue, extracted the frames via VLC, it seemed pretty obvious to me, but I might be mistaken.
Guess we'll see in 16h!

On a bit of a tangent, is anyone having trouble logging in to their Twitch account (was trying to claim some Prime Gaming games to my EGS last night)? Seems you can no longer log in via Amazon/email address and I'm having no luck with either SMS or email reset (I have MFA for Epic but not for Twitch)
I claim mine from Amazon gaming, I thought they stopped claiming via Twitch ages ago.

I was just going off what someone posted on Reddit, but now I've looked at the clue myself it does seem to point towards a Watchdogs game.
Seems it might be Dragon Age, if so that would be ultra lame as if I remember correctly it was on Amazon a while ago as I have all the games on Origin.

I've got this on Origin (or what ever its called these days - you can tell its been awhile), its actually a really good game and well worth a play though if you have not already.
I think everyone still calls it Origin, the install directory is probably still Origin as well. But at least you are not calling it EA Link.

Give it a go if you pick it up for free (I think epic gave it away free before so probably will do again).

You may like it I'd not like to put you off trying.

It may not have helped my cat was poorly when I started it so I may not have enjoyed any game tbh.
I think it was Amazon Prime, since I have all three games on Origin. Might have been a Prime Day giveaway.

Next clue is out, looks like a bus, tracker, tank or a train. There is also "❄️", which seems to be every season of the year. I have intentionally not looked much into Metro Exodus, because of my much I enjoy the series (so absolutely no spoilers or hints at the game), but from little I do know of the game, it seems a fit.

I've become zen with this stuff now. I no longer feel compelled to add games to a library on a launcher I won't ever use and that's ok.
There are many games I once had no interest it, that I no do. It's great to discover a game that you might be interested in, a game that you never paid much attention to, and to find out that you already have it. The first two Dragon Ages for example. So unless its something like Football Manager, then I just claim everything.

Indeed. On several occasions now, I've found myself thinking "hmm, I wonder what's like" after discovering certain games. Then to my surprise, it's already there in my Epic library. So it gets downloaded and played for a short while and if I like it, then I buy it on Steam. :p
Why would you go from a platform that supports developers to one that is killing the gaming industry? If you want to support the developers, then buy it in an alt on Epic. If you want a nice copy, then see if it is available on Gog.

Don't understand the appeal of an "ordinary simulator", seems dull in real life, so why would I want to play a game about it. If it's something you have interested in, and if there is a reason to play a game about it, then sure. But Farming Simulator, PC Building Simulator, I don't get. A flight simulatoe, or something like that makes sense.

I've categorised my Epic Games library into 'Will play', 'Might play', and everything else has been left uncategorised. I scrutinise the giveaways to avoid claiming something that I'll never play and that will only clutter up my library. It is good to try out games I have lukewarm interest in, but I do have a habit of wanting to finish things even if enjoyment is waning. Darkest Dungeon was initially enjoyable for the first 10 hours or so but became a repetitive slog; it seemed the narrator had a point "Success so clearly in view... or is it merely a trick of the light?" It took 60 hours to complete. I'd have been dissuaded if I'd known beforehand.
Same, I have "Would have bought/Really like", "Will most likely play/like", "Might play, or something I know well or have tried but didn't really like", "Have heard of or looks interesting", "Games I knowingly hate or despise, or games I know nothing about and don't look that interesting". Although I just number the categories 1 to 5.
I’ve picked up some games on Epic and thought “meh”. Then a year later I’ve found out the game is actually a gem I hadn’t heard of.
Same here, it great when you hear of a game, start looking into it and then realise you already have it.
