He was when he started.
I recall Ole got stick also for being too positive and at odds with reality. Also got accused of having no plan at times.
It's almost as if the club is rotten and it chews people up.
In the end if the club is doing badly people will make up things that are wrong with the manager's behaviour or personality that they wouldn't say if the club was doing well.
I agree that it's changed, whether it's changed for the better or not, that remains to be seen.I think it's overly simplistic to just say it's 'rotten' - a lot has changed recently, largely for the better. There's no magic involved here, it's just a case of employing better people (like Ashworth) and building a better squad.
I would love to know just how much more engagement United generate than any other club.
Or the fact that United have been a circus for a few years now and there's a lot to talk / laugh about. An easy starting point is comparing the size of the club threads on here. The BBC Sport site usually has 4 different articles on the same Untied topic, each with thousands of comments.

Delaying the manager sacking and hiring a manager that wasn't good enough for Liverpool (and Chelsea?) suggests still lessons to be learned.
been the same long before things went downhill.Or the fact that United have been a circus for a few years now and there's a lot to talk / laugh about.
Yeah, which is still engagement. Although Chelsea have been as bad at times and I don't even see a club thread for them (thankfully ).Or the fact that United have been a circus for a few years now and there's a lot to talk / laugh about.
Thats cos were the bestbeen the same long before things went downhill.
maybe not the best anymore but certainly still the biggest - hence the constant need for scouser input. it must burn like a vindaloo bum for liverpool fans that they've finally managed to crawl out of their own clown show period only to find utd are still a bigger club.Thats cos were the best

The same thing happens with the players as well.
McTominny, not good enough.........MCSAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAUUUUUUUUUUUUUUCE gets a goal when you need him to with GASHFORD up front. Rashford, not that a bad a player, 20 + goal striker right there. De Gea, best keeper around.......De Gea, just terrible, can't catch a cold need to get rid. etc.
This is the thing that is so annoying with the media. Its just embarrassing how much the media dine out on United. Now Amorim is coming, everything is about him.
We now have a tactical breakdown of tonights City/Sporting game.
