Eriksson to be sacked by Man City

I agree with gilly, i like sven, i dont think he's done much wrong...he's had a fairly good spell at man city.
I'd hate to see him move overseas, i think he'll do really well in the premiership with a team that has a decent chairman.

What's to not like? He's pretty inoffensive as far as managers go.

Just something about him bugs me, I didn't like him as England manager and I think a lot of its carried over. Im not keen on any manager who comes in with a bucketload of cash (ok i know its not his cash) buys a tonne of players and is then praised for transforming the club.

I suppose Thaksin is used to being a big fish in a small pond, but in the premier league now everyone has money to an extent.

Exhibit A - Sunderland.

We spent over £30m last summer and we spent a few quid again in Jan. 6-7 seasons ago that would've meant a top ten finish, but now so many of the clubs have that kind of cash and more that it doesn't buy success

Roy keane is talking about spending £50m in the summer, Chelsea only spent about £80m when they won the title the first time IIRC I'd be shocked if it bought us a UEFA Cup place tbh

And anyone who feels sympathy for Sven is an idiot, he seems very happy on the managerial merry go round and he's earning a few bob too.

Chelsea spent £80m (or w/e) on top of an already top 6 team though, Sunderland on the other hand.... :p
