Error Checking Software?

Can someone recommend me some free error checking software? I need to be able to check for bad sectors etc

Yeah, but it goes a bit too quick for me to be able to get a proper look at the results... Plus you have to wait around for it?

I'd like a nice results page to look at after its finished scanning
