Just found this:

http://www.essaysondemand.com/

Can't believe that this is for real. Sent a strongly worded message of detest to their customer chat. The response: 'no operators available'. Funny that, thought that they would have a steady stream of people entering their work place who have used their service.

This sort of stuff existed before you could purchase it on the internet. You got people writing it for others at a small cost.... I know this because I know older generations who did the same...... paid for their final reports....

no further comments.

Getting others to do your essays has been around for years way before the internet, it's just a lot easier to get someone else to do it for you these days as you don't need to know a mate of a mate who'll do it.

I would say that all the top US schools and colleges have seen hundreds of these generic essays and can pick one out from a mile off.

Funny story, My friends sister paid a girl 400 euro to do her final paper. Apparently there was something wrong with it (I think it was over the word count) and she failed her course because of it. She was not allowed to repeat as this was her second attempt. 3 years wasted lol.

Most university's use turnitin, my guess is all these essays are already loaded into its database, it searches every essay ever submitted to it so I bet these are not unique to each customer

One of my professors used to trawl these type of sites (homework help type sites) seeing if he could find his coursework on. He found a couple.

Anyone who doesn't change a few words and move the paragraphs about deserves to get caught.

At the end of the day if you are writing an essay on an objective subject there are only so many "right" answers. Providing one uses the essay to gain them and the person writes it in his own words i don't see how the software can catch them or stand up to false positives.
