essaysondemand.com - omg!

When I was at uni doing my MSc, I was offered a decent sum of money by a affluent Chinese student to write their dissertation. As tempting as it was, refused!
 
Even if this wasn't cheating I still don't see the point in it. If the essay is unimportant, why pay for it? If it's important, I wouldn't trust anybody but myself to write it.

Deserved it then tbh.

I can understand for a minor essay that doesn't mean much. To try and flog the final paper is just asking for trouble.

I always laugh at people getting caught out for this. It really isn't hard to restructure/reword something written for you to give it your own touch.

To be honest Trun It In is awful. In my dissertation, I had a few flags where i'd wrote the exact same sentence as someone else from some random Uni. I changed three words around in the sentence and it didn't pick it up.

I know a lot of friends who were able to cut their similarity % down by big chunks just by doing this.

Funny how it always happens to a friend of a friend, isn't it.
 
The thing is turnitin buy these and put it in the ever increasing database of essays, everything you submit to it is kept for future reference so you can't sell your own work, you'd have to be stupid to use this
 
Generic copy pasted essays will get busted, unis have systems in place to catch em.

Dunno how it would work if you actually got someone to write it out properly, I guess the only way to be caught then is if the person grading the content knows your writing style and busts you that way. Maybe if it's too good, they might suspect something and cross reference it with past material of the individual.

Either way to take a chance like that you gotta be very very desperate!
 
I was just about to agree with the OPs sentiment, until I remembered doing a Final Year building design for somebody in my class in College. Paid very well too. They got their diploma, I got money.

This site seems like nonsense - a 200 page/60000 word, 1st class, Ph.D-level research paper in 6 hours for 15k? Yeah right..

Funny you've mentioned this. I had an essay (first essay we've had to use Turnitin for) due on Wednesday, and a email was sent out to all students form our lecturer. Someone had been caught using a bought essay. :rolleyes:
 
I would actually somewhat enjoy writing essays about things I am interested in, and generally get good marks... if only someone would pay me to do that aha.
 
60,000 words :o I could never imagine writing so much!

There's a reason I skipped uni and just started working for one of the largest networking companies around :)
