I've got a normal contract, that supplies me with unlimited texts and 250mins for £15 a month on Virgin.. they started giving me 'unlimited' internet access, but for some reason stopped. It wasn't originally a part of my package, so I wasn't complaining. I never really used it, until I got my Gaxaxy Portal.

My dad's MCR 3.1 has owned itself, last night he said he installed and uninstalled some wifi management apps and now senseui's launcher keeps forceclose looping.

I think rooting his phone was a bad idea tbh as I'm now tech support for it ;/

Indeed, you've shot yourself in the foot there.

Rooting is great, just do a full backup when it's all working, and just restore that whenever he messes something up.

Is there an app, or widget that shows you the MB's you've uploaded/downloaded each day.. don't want to go over the 25MB fair usage and be charged £2 per MB.

It's called 3G watchdog :D

25MB that a month!? mine was originally 500mb but the kind guy in vodaphone store said he will give me a 1GB monthly usage for no extra cost instead of the 500mb :D

Its not the fancy views that annoys me, its the text only views. WAY to much information, it took 4 screen swipes to view all the tracks on one album!

Haha, fair enough. I suppose he could make the file names use a smaller font, but then thats picking at straws for me and isn't really a bother, as I tend to use the pictures and can pick out what Im listening to from the first word fairly easily :)

Been looking for a good wifi mouse and media controller and I think I found the best one, a little pricey though, does...

Touch pad with your chosen keyboard, dedicated scroll section and drag & drop.

Accelerometer based mouse, nice idea but a little funny to use, may be good for presentations.

Media remote that supports Media player classic, VLC, media centre, wmp, xbmc and I'm pretty sure it supports boxee and a few others.

File explorer allows you to browse your media folders and open files on the host PC, great for eliminating drag and drop operations.

Accelerometer based joypad interface, have yet to try it in game, but it acts as a steering wheel so you can tilt the phone left and right to steer, going to try it on something when I get home on tuesday.

It's also got a few good features like when the screen locks all you have to do is lift the phone and it will unlock it for you. Sorry for the big post and if it sounds like an advert but I think it's pretty good ;)

Anyone got any suggestions for a decent contact app replacement?

I am using the one built into Open Desire 1.4a, however the contact app only shows 2 numbers for the contact not all of them.

Which contact app will show them all? The HTC one did on 2.1

Thanks

Kimbie

I must say, that looks a bit tasty, does it use the trackball for scrolling?
I used to use RemoteDroid, that used the trackball for scrolling, but got sick of the server popping up a bubble in my taskbar, plus the keyboard got confused on the Magic. So I shifted to PRemoteDroid, which is very similar, except the server was invisible and the keyboard worked properly. Unfortunately it doesn't utilise the trackball for scrolling, which I do miss a lot.

Sorry I couldn't tell you, my phone doesn't have a trackball =/

Why?

So using phone keypad, I pressed 43556, it wouldn't output Hello?
What do you mean by the phone keypad?

Edit: if you mean the portrait T9 keypad then yes it allows the suggestions, sorry I use the landscape pad usually so it didn't bring up the suggestions, but in portrait mode it does, like so:

Aha! Cheers Dude! I might buy this software tonight then because I was looking for something that I can type on MSN with at night (when my monitor is tilted over the bed) without having a keyboard on my lap :)
