Well since the old thread has disappeared, and i've finally got a phone, i thought it would be a good idea to put together a list of essential apps for Android. What do you use?

Is it possible to update maps if you're on 1.5? I'm on 3.2.1 and i can't see anything in the app or in the marketplace.

Not sure about this, but i added somebody a few days back. Originally i got their number wrong, put the '75' from the '075' in twice (their fault for reading it out like that!

) which was obviously too long, so i changed it straight away. Now though, i get texts from that wrong number for some reason, and i can't send any to it, only the right one.

Okay, you remember when Google gave app developers that have over 5000 downloads and a 3.5 star or above rating? Well was that a one off thing or is it continuous... i may have heard something about it happening once a year.

Uses the same maps as MapDroyd, so i assume you can put them on the SD card but every navigation app will need to use data on the move unless you don't deviate from the route at all.
