Just installed an app called AudioManager Pro, seems good so far, manages the volume levels individually and has a widget

You should always check the battery usage application built into Android to see what app is draining the battery the most. If you've got location awareness enabled via GPS and/or wifi networks then this will be oe of the biggest hits on battery up to 80%~.

Checking out Autokiller now.

Currently testing out the alpha version of Swift Keyboard. It seems quite interesting but i'm unsure whether or not this will be a replacement for Swype which has been working amazing for me so far.

Big shout out to the runner, cyclists etc: My Tracks is superb. Brilliant and functional tracking app

Where is said battery usage app?

That is all very well and good, but it certainly feels like the battery runs down at an accelerated pace when there are 10+ apps running in the background. The 3 points above don't explain why random apps that I don't access on a daily basis (like the tube info app) are suddenly running in the background.

Its most likely that they are updating any live feed type information. I suspect the reason the developer of the tube app has decided to do this is because often when the app is used there is no signal, being underground.

The solution is not to use a task killer to kill everything, but instead use it to find out whats killing your battery, then either get rid of that app, or contact the developer to ask the to make it more efficient!

I used this going for a run the other week and it was amazing!

But am I the only one that finds the Desire way too big to take running with you.

i use sporty pal instead, its very good also and you can upload everything to their website and you can view your cycle. very useful imo

nice one, just downloading this - i normally get back and then use mapmyrun but hopefully this means i can skip that and find out how slow i am effortlessly

ive only used sporty pal whilst cycling. so i have a bag with me, never tried running with it but i can imagine it would be a bit big!
