Anyone got any scope for comparison between Rail Planner Live and The Train Line apps?

Both are paid apps so don't want to try both. Any must-have features lacking in either one?

You can uninstall for a refund from the market, maybe have a little play around with them both. Not sure what the time limit is though

Have just starting playing a game called Uniwar with a mate - he insistent it's great value even though it costs £3.10 odd atm

Yeah... 15 minutes?! You'd have to be able to assess the ins and outs of an app pretty damn speedily!

So, I guess that puts me back to the question - can anyone who's used both or seen both running give any indication which app is better?

I'm willing to try something that doesn't say '"Searching for GPS" for half an hour before it finally locks onto a satellite.

Edit for clarity: this is specific to my Desire HD, not a problem with the app as such.

There must be something going wrong, my phone takes a minute maybe 2 at most.

A minute is a minute too long tbh, google maps locks on and is ready to go within seconds.

Sometimes when I am around high rise buildings it can't lock on properly. In the car it takes 30 seconds or so

I use journey pro and it's been great the couple of times I've had to use it.

There is, it's a known bug with the 1.7 update for the DHD. Prior to that, the GPS locked on very quickly. They'll fix it with the next patch, I'm sure. In the mean time, however...

There are far too many out there.

usually down to the radio or hardware (or combo) in your phone. on my desire, gps can get a lock straight away or take ages with the wrong radio

I downloaded an app called Keep In Plan which is designed to keep a track of your mobile phone usage. It included landline, mobile, text and data usage. It looked bloody superb but I couldn't get it to work though. Gutted really as it looked as though it would have done the job nicely. I had it on an SGS but wondered if anyone else had tried it and actually got it working :confused:
