Sometimes, application short cuts will just disappear from my screen and I can't seem to reproduce this in any set way.

Sometimes they'll disappear after I've woken the phone, other times they'll disappear after pressing either the home or back button to exit an application and get back to the home screen.

Tilting the handset to make the screen rotate and then back again will bring the icon back....

I've had exactly the same issue - but no idea why - would be interested to know if you find out whats causing it!

Yesterday I tried the modified Skype app from XDA that allows video calling... it's pretty damn awesome! Took a while to get to Android but it was definitely worth the wait, I can now skype from the comfort of my bed/sofa and I love the way you can switch between front and back cameras.

Does it work on Honeycomb Tablets? Thats the one thing i dislike about my tablet, is it cannot have video chat, with 2 cameras

Is there any way to increase the maximum zoom on Google Maps? Mine is extremely poor and barely worth using at the level of detail I can see (Desire HD)

Any Cut the Rope players here? I am stuck - not sure if it is me or a bug.

World three (foil box) level 12. I don't get it! A YouTube video seemed to show the the sweet swinging from the start but mine is stationary and moving the slider up and down doesn't generate enough momentum to do anything.

Just done that level. You need to flick the slider down then up to get the sweet heading straight up. Then cut the rope to get it to fly up to attach to the rope above. Then take it from there.

Doesn't seem to work, no matter how hard or soft you slide it up and down - it only generates enough momentum for the sweet to bounce ever so slightly. My X10 doesn't feel the most responsive of phones when playing this game.

EDIT:

The rope on the video seems to be elasticated, mine isn't :confused:

That isn't the same level as the Foil Box number 12 on my HTC Desire. There are more sliders on that one (I have 4, video shows 7), it is albeit quite similar. The video is from the iPhone/iPad version of the game, maybe there is a difference? Ill check my iPad tonight.

You do need to be quick when cutting the first rope and time it well. Your phone might not be upto the quick responses needed.

Just wondering if there's an app that will set alarms for different times?

I need it so the alarm goes off every 2/3 hours throughout the day. And I can change the intervals to different times (every 1 hour/2 hour/3 hour ect).

Anyone got the updated Thumb Keyboard? It's a manual update so won't auto update via Market.

I do like the dark/grey theme more now

New Google Maps update is awesome!

Can download sections of the maps to the SD card now.

Also added measuring tape and scale bar

map downloading bit is new and rather awesome!, scale and measuring tape have been there a while i think.

Does anyone know of a program like Samba Filesharing, that can access the root of my phone?

I want to restore my Drag Racing save/rank/settings from a failed TAR backup manually but there's quite a lot of files to move around and doing them one by one in ES File Explorer will just do my head in lol

Is there anything out there like that that'll let me browse the phone root so I can just drag'n'drop them into place?
