^^ re music players, I can't believe "folder play" is not a standard. Nokia didn't have it, and neither does Android by default! Grrr...

I love using stock apps for most things (and would therefore prefer to use Google Music), but when they can't do the basics it get's very frustrating.

PowerAmp all the way for me... for now...

People put music on their phones still?!

Google Music all the way

Hmmmm... Yeah!!... My entire 16,560 tracks (just over 105Gb) music stored on Google Music to be streamed where ever I am... Vs 5Gb of Selected music stored on the phone which I'll get bored of and want to listen to summut else after a week!!

Google Music!! Wins hands down for me!! :D

Yup. :)

Have too much music to put online, and I don't always have wifi access, and want to be able to listen to music without having to be online.

I don't use much stuff online as I just don't have the online space or enough data on my phone's contract. Furthermore, if I can't get online, it's just frustrating.

Exactly. Can't listen to music when in flight mode if it's in the cloud or when there's poor reception in the middle of nowhere.

I do both. Use Poweramp when I'm on my commute, and use Google Music when I'm at work on Wifi :)

Don't have a huge data allowance so can't stream much.

F18 carrier landings - now allows you to use one android device as an accelerometer controller with instruments and throttle/flaps/gear controls on its screen, and another device as the display. Works great with a phone/tablet combo.

If I know I'm going somewhere without access to wi-fi or network coverage (very rarely, last time was a plane), then I'll just dig out my Cowon J3 or download a days worth of music from Google Music to my phone. Most of the time though the streaming works great.

However I'm still a true believer in the dedicated music player.

Yeah!... I'm the same! :)

Still have my trusty old 3rd Gen iPod Nano 8g if I know I'm going somewhere that has Crap or no reception/wi-fi

I am after some more info about Google Music. I currently pay for the mobile Spotify subscription. Does GM work in the same way or do you have to pay for each song 'iTunes' style?

I think you pay for each 'tune' as you download/stream it.

I've just uploaded all of my music to it, so I don't need to purchase any more at the moment. (well that's what the wife said!!)

You can upload upto 20,000 of your own 'ripped' tracks to your account, or sync your iTunes account. Most other services (Amazon etc) charge for storage size, and give you a 'Free Capacity' of about 5Gb, but I uploaded over 100Gb to google and I've not been asked to pay as it's 3,500 short of the 20,000 mark!! :)
