Essential Android Apps

Go to Gmail on your PC then go to settings and under accounts you can set it all up from there then you'll have the options on your phone.

Can anyone recommend a free note taking app.

OneNote
Evernote
Google Keep

I have tried a lot of apps for this and there is nothing better than these for their respective purposes

OneNote
It is a great app for organising notes and also because of its integration as a product from Microsoft
I find the fact that I can use it at work, at home and on my mobile the thing that makes me use this over Evernote
So I have all my work notes at home, on my mobile and on my computer/SharePoint at work
I can access individual notebooks, so although I have my work stuff everywhere I don't have to give access to the home ones on my work machine (unless I want to).
OneNote also allows content sharing, so you and your friends and family can store information about a single topic in the same place

Evernote
Evernote is by far the most detailed notebook and if you are considering using notes as a point of reference then the metatags do make Evernote superior
Evernote has tons of feature and offers sharing of content like Onenote

GoogleKeep
I like the simple layout for Keep, but it is quite annoying to surf through masses of notes.
I do think GoogleKeep will develop further though because I see them using it with Google+ features to complete with Evernote and Pinterest for content sharing.

Shout out to Pinterest
Although not strictly a notebook, it has a place for storing just webcontent and if that is all that what you want then Pinterest allows you not only to save, but to surf other peoples.

the new minimum keyboard has absolutely amazing auto correction, I would say far better than swiftkey etc. will take a while getting use to the layout though! Personally not too fussed on it overall but it makes for a nice change for the time being........

edit

Trying the new dolphin out and it is really nice, UI is great now, more minimal looking and the speed at which it loads pages and renders them is very quick (always found dolphin to be good at this though, kind of like firefox VS chrome on the desktop) but text reflow is broken still and it isn't as buttery smooth when scrolling up and down on web pages compared to the stock sense browser either :( (saying that, unfortunately I find no browser to be as smooth as sense, literally no lag at all with the sense browser) and of course lack of quick thumb controls!

Finding text reflow and smoothness fine here on my Nexus 4, definitely better than stock overall. AOSP has a few too many little bugs for my liking, and performance was really beginning to leave quite a bit to be desired. Dolphin connect works well too, tab sync is far better than Chrome's own (and the AOSP browser doesn't support it!).

double tap to zoom and the text reflow works fine but once I double tap to zoom back out, the text stays in the same position/way i.e. all crunched up to the left side and then it doesn't work at all/resize when I pinch to zoom to different zoom levels :(

Do you mean the 'minuum' keyboard? Is it available now? I'd love to try it

Ah yeah sorry meant that :o :p

People have got beta invites, I didn't so just installed an apk from elsewhere. Just googe search "minuum keyboard beta V1.0 apk" ;)

Yeah but can't link here :p
