I tried it, gone back to stock SMS. Keep things where they should be IMO.

Also, installed Runtastic this morning, monitored the whole day my daily walkabouts around work, really good results and battery usage seems reasonable too.
 
i like it and would use it as a primary sms as it's basically an im as mentioned so i can get rid of whatsapp when people move over, however it's the most basic feature less sms program there ever was so i'm not going to be using it a imagine for at least another year, maybe more as i can't see them getting individual text tones for instance for a long time, pop up boxes when not in app, too many missing. the same with GEL, it's the most basic launcher there ever was, with the only feature being ok google from the homescreen.
 
Yeah, think I might go back to stock then. It looks nice, but beyond that it's essentially pointless for me. Me or my close friends have no time or inclination to be messaging each other all day :p
 
Any one use Emit? Almost tearing my hair out last night trying to set up a pin server. It claimed my TCP port 1554 wasn't open. I opened it in my router settings, allowed emit.exe through the firewall and set up inbound/outbound rules for both sets of ports (UDP 2000-2006). Cannot work out what I am missing.
 
Yeah. For TCP; 1554 with the IP for the computer. For UDP; 2000-20006 with the IP for the computer. This was all done under the 'Forwarding' section - what is port triggering? That was below forwarding.

It's a system to trigger a reciprocal port opening. EG your computer goes out via 121, the port trigger rule would open 122 inwards, to forward to your computer.

EDIT - never mind I got it working.

Square icon packs? Don't mind paying if they're updated promptly and or requests. Already got Motif, Banx and Goolo.
