If you are with BT they have app, bt smart talk, I believe Virgin have one as well. I'm assuming both these apps work on tablets as they do on the phone

Is there any music playing apps that have variable speed scrubbing/seeking?
When using power amp or player pro or something to play a podcast or a long mix skipping forward a few minutes can be very difficult compared to how it is with the iphone's music player (I recently moved from iPhone to HTC One).

You should surely use a podcast player to listen to podcasts? This kind of control is much easier then. I use BeyondPod myself. I still believe it's the best.

Yeah, but when it's music mixes that can be an hour or more long I'd rather listen it with the player I use to listen my other music rather than having to use something else just for longer mixes etc.

I'm actually quite surprised that music players don't have the ability to change scrubbing speed when seeking.
Some players seem much harder to seek on as well. I'm trying to grab the current play position dot/circle/marker but rather than grabbing it and allowing me to move it, it just jumps position. (Not sure I've explained that well but hopefully you understand what I mean)

Firefox and the beta version are just terrible on the nexus 7 in comparison to chrome :(

terrible UI
slow

Such a shame as I like the addons and syncing with my pc firefox browser.

Another update today, the theme works fine now on both my phone and tablet in portrait and landscape mode.

what have people found to be the best music player? video player? and streaming app for films? any apps that would stream my videos and things to my sony smart tv?

Best music: Poweramp if stored locally, Google Music if you use their services

Best video player: MX player, loads of video type support

As for streaming, this will get a tad tricker. What I usually do is access my PC with ES File explorer and then play the file with MX Player. But for a smart TV, it may be able to access your PC directly but it will depend on the TV itself.

Google buys Timely developer: http://www.androidpolice.com/2014/0...oper-bitspin-premium-iap-content-is-now-free/

And now all the in-app purchases are now free... which I paid full price for . I seem to have a habit of buying apps at the wrong time!
