No radio yet, expect to see it as soon as it's stable on Cyanogen ROM though since DeFrost is based off that now :)

Also, Google Earth 1.1 is out offering some new features including 2 finger move/rotate etc.

Has anyone good any recommendations for a good To Do/Tasks list? I really liked the tasks list I had on my old Nokia 5800 -- just a simple text list on the main screen.

I've got Astrid at the moment and it's features are fine. Only problem being it looks horrid on the home screen! I dont understand why they made it show up as a little box?

Yeah I can't decide on which browser is the fastest and best for general things

Although I have ruled out xscope and opera mini browser as they don't render some web pages properly.

Dolphin is good but seems pretty slow and wasn't too happy with skyfire as it seemed rather slow as well, tbh I think the stock android browser is the fastest really but the features are pretty poor. Are there any other browsers that are good/better than the stock browser?

Really want a web browser with tabs as well :(

And I can't decide on which keyboard now either, went back to the stock android keyboard as I had a few problems with the HTC IME keyboard, it was rather slow to start up (I have no task killer) and if you type to fast, it will lag behind a fair bit and it also takes up a fair bit of memory and also when you turn your mobile side ways and if you have the text box thing on, it doesn't seem to display the text in the box but when you go out of the text box it will show the text that you typed but it wasn't bringing that text up in the wee box if that makes any sense :p. Only way to solve that is to turn that text box option for landscape mode off but then you can't see the tiny text box for handcent beside the send button because the qwerty keyboard is covering that text box then, so rather pointless :(

If you can live without tabs, the default browser is by far the best imo - really cant see a reason to use anything else (though opera 5 mini is nice if you're not in a 3g/wifi area)

Anyone tried pingchat yet? what do you think of it?

I have tried it.

As a ex-BBM user and now WhatsApp(Beta) user, I can that pingchat looks very nice, but it's not as quick as BBM or WhatsApp. Messages take a while to get delivered as well. It has potential though. I would wait for WhatsApp.

Does anyone know of a app that will stream video from a Nas to the phone?
I know there are loads that will do mp3 but I can't find one that will do video.

thanks

Can anyone recomend free/cheap gps navigation system. I downloaded MapDroyd last night. It's good for telling me where I am but there's no option for directions.
Want something that downloads the maps into the phone and doesn't need to use any data on the move.

Cheers.

Google nav doesn't use data on the move and when calculating it doesn't use much data anyway.

Yeah just going to stick to the default browser, best for speed I think.

Has anyone used the droid x keyboard, been hearing good things about it, some are even saying that it's much better than the HTC_IME keyboard (I don't like the HTC_IME keyboard though, using the stock android one at the minute).

Also does anyone have an apk for it, tried a few but came up saying that it will replace the default settings or something so wasn't to sure what to do and I left it :o :p.

Also :p, does anyone know how to get the stock froyo 2.2 keyboard working on 2.1 at all or have a working apk for it, looks like a big improvement over the stock 2.1 keyboard.

Wow never seen Mapdroyd! thats a rather ace app, just testing it now.

I could do with an app that will divert texts from certain numbers away from the main messages app, and keep it in some sort of discreet location.. anything like this around? :)

Uses the same maps as MapDroyd, so i assume you can put them on the SD card but every navigation app will need to use data on the move unless you don't deviate from the route at all.
