Don't know if I have mentioned it before but I have been using Plume for my twitter client and it is the best of the lot. You can colour code tweets so that it makes your feed much more manageable. Its free on the market :)

Thanks, but I wasn't talking about accessing the root of the phone (I use SuperManager for that), I was talking about accessing my pc like I can with the file manager in unified remote, but being able to save files to my phone from my pc...

I can do it the other way around using "Samba Filesharing for Android" but it doesn't work every time, sometimes SU fails to grant permissions and it needs to be force-stopped and restarted manually (PITA)

Been fiddling with ES and I've got it semi-working, but when I 'share' a folder, the folder shows in ES but when I tap on it, it tells me the account has no permissions... what's that all about?
 
Hmmm that's odd. I didn't even have to set any sharing options when I did it, I just created a new server in the LAN section with my computer's IP and Windows login password and I had full permissions in the entire C: drive.
 
Are there any weather apps that can interact with the wallpaper to indicate what the weather is at a glance?
 
Does anyone know of any good new york subway apps? im going there on wednesday and think it would be handy if there was an app i just put in where i am and what stop i wanna get to and tells me all the changes etc i need to make

I am the owner of a htc Desire s for my sins !
So now I have to embrace the world of smart phones and I am now looking at the ever expanding Android market place for App’s

What I need for my phone in the way of a decent Apps are;

MP3/ Music player
Video player
Photo Viewer
Web Browser
Guitar Amp App ( is this possible on this phone, I know iPhones can have it ! ) for use with head phones

Also does any know if there is a setting to hind phone number when dialling out ! ?
 
My recommendations:

MP3/ Music player: PowerAMP or Winamp
Video player: Rockplayer
Photo Viewer: Quickpic
Web Browser: Dolphin Mini

Can't help with the others though
 
Can't install Drag Racing on my phone now.

Installed Cyanogenmod 7.0.2.1 yesterday. Other games as well wont install, but apart from that, I'm liking CM7. :)

Anybody know why a few apps aren't downloading?
