Essential Android Apps

Is there an adblocker for apps? Tired of seeing apps in the games. Don't mind so much in the menus of the games, but in the rest of the game its irritating. I know theres an app that cuts the internet connection for certain apps but am looking for a different approach.
 
AdFree in the market does, although it requires root access. However I've never really liked it, as in webpages will show a "Page Cannot be displayed" message in a box where the ad should be, instead of just hiding that element.

Show me the paid version of angry birds.

Also, ads are disabled when there's no internet connection, so if you play it offline, you're a pirate? What?

I'd pay for most of the apps and games that have ads to remove them but I can't cos paid versions don't exist. I use adblock on firefox too, don't see anything wrong with that.

Ads in Angry Birds Rio makes the game lag quite noticeably on my tablet, if I could buy an adfree version I probably would.

Where's that Amazon app store!?

I don't mind ads in games like Wordfeud where they only show between turns and only then it's some turns, not all. But constantly showing them is a no go so I will AdFree them without question. AdFree is free on the Market so I will use it.

Actually, I've just revisited this and changed custom IP to about:blank. Seems to be a bit better this way in my brief test.

Yeah my wife used to get ads. Search the market for Ads free (I think thats it). I have ads blocked via a zip I got months ago I run via recovery mode.

I *know* for a concrete fact I'm never going to click on an ad. Am I always a pirate? If anything I'm helping them, by keeping their CTR that little bit higher (assuming the blocker blocks the outgoing request, that is)

Grrr the computer is too lucky, half of the time his first roll is a triple and half of those times he gets a triple after that plus I get maybe 1 or 2 triples per game he gets 4+ most of the time, also my droids seem to die way more easily than the computer's.

FriendCaster really is very very good, IMO way above the official Facebook app. Picture uploads are a lot more user defined too with loadsof options and the browsing aspect is way better. Free too, disable ads by click the 30days option by posting a msg on your wall but the great thing is you can then delete the msg from your wall and still have ads disabled, just do it once every 30 days :)

Although it's only £1.80 odd but I'd rather be sneaky for a month of two until I know it is bug free and does everything I want fully before committing!

I seem to get the enemy being a lot luckier with triples as well. Great game though, I seem to kick arse whatever happens. ;)
