how do u get it like that? Mine always ends up turning off after a minute or so.
 
I got it from ebay, it's a Nokia DT-29.

It's a little dodgy though, I had to tie it up to make it stand upright that much as it was designed for a thicker phone.
 
B&W, there's an option in the settings to keep the phone awake... Tick "prevent screen lock", tick "fixed backlight" and set the backlight to around 20% - that's more than bright enough for a bedside clock :)

Skyfall, you still got that phone? or is that a really old pic?

Yeah, if you go into screensaver mode it does the same thing also.
 
not technically an app but miui is awesome! just installed it on my htc desire and tbh don't have anything bad to say about it

Its supposed to jump around, that's what screensavers do..

Nokia stand works fine on sgs2 so will be fine on sgs1, mine is the official stand btw.

I dont have them two options, do u have to pay for them?
 
no...

open kaloer clock, press the menu button, go to preferences, tap behaviour and layout... top option is 'prevent screen lock' third one is 'fixed backlight' toggle, under that is the 'backlight ammount' which is available only when fixed backlight is enabled :)

if you don't have the latest update, you won't get the 'behaviour and layout' bit, it'll just go straight to the options list...

I have paid for the extras, but that option is in the free version :)

If you're not on an AMOLED phone then I guess it doesn't matter being static :p You'll get image persistence (well, maybe) but that's not permanent!

On another note, i like Trillian for Android. Used to be a paid app, however it went free, so i downloaded from market.

Integrated All your main messengers, Facebook/MSN etc etc into one application.
