Sygic seems to be pretty good, they've changed it a lot since v10 which I used on the Desire. It doesn't speak the names of every road or roundabout like Google nav does (which is a bummer as with Google Nav you get some knowledge action by learning the actual names) but it does speak out motorway exit numbers and bits like that.

The English voices are rubbish too, Simon is quite good I suppose, he speaks faster and is more direct while Emma sounds like she has Downs.

I like the 3d landscape where hills and stuff are nicely rendered and movement is buttery smooth like Google Nav too.

I don't like the way it manages contacts, it's a bit of a mash of sorts. Google nav does it way better (pretty obvious though that one lol.

This version doesn't connect online so I don't know if it will pull in traffic updates but I assume it won't because it can't connect to the service?

I'll use it over the weekend and see how it fairs out but at the moment initial impressions are that it is good but not as good as Google Nav.

Have you tried CoPilot too? Tried that the other day and it was also good. :)
 
Yup I used CoPilot on the Desire and I didn't like that much because of the way it enforces you to use their rubbish keyboard within the app.

I was using NavFree on the 3GS. It was 'ok' :)

And did you download the Aptoide Repository app like i said too?
 
Not wanting to be a stick in the mud, but Aptoide repositories are almost exclusively used for downloading warez and everything that isn't warez in the repositories is available in the Android Market. I really don't think ripping off developers is something that should be encouraged here.
