Essential Android Apps

Thanks for that. I feared it may not have been possible.
It would not be so bad if it locked you out of the application and required a code; but to lock the entire phone down is a bit too much. It conflicts with 'goto lockscreen' aswell so not only you you have to put a code in, but you have to unlock it twice!

I don't think IMAP will work, but I'll ask some of the IT guys about it.

cheers,
Rick

Did you get anywhere with this?

Can anyone recommend a usenet client for android which will allow me to download to my phone/tablet? Would like to download using those instead of my PC. Found one but only supports one provider, which isn't mine :(
Ta :)

Bit of a strange question.

A few weeks ago I downloaded PlayerPro from Aptoid.. I know I know.

I've uninstalled it since but now I genuinely want to purchase it, however it's showing up in my market as Purchased, even though I obviously didn't.

Any way to remove the purchased status so I can buy and download it legit? :p

what happens if you delete PlayerPro and download it from the market?

I deleted it ages ago. It's still showing up on the market that I've purchased it, even though I never paid for it.

I believe it's linked to my google account now.

When I click to install, it just says download refused... which isn't surprising :p

Aliens invasion, I started playing and though, meh there is nothing to it, bit boring................2 hours later I just died on level 34 lol. That is the longest I've ever played a game on my phone!

when you actually buy an app then delete it - surely you must be able to DL it again without paying?

I know you didn't buy it but it thinks you did. It should let you DL again. Weird.

i think the issue is pehaps the illegal app has a part removed from it that contacts google serves to say it's installed etc. perhaps at some point the phone has picked up the app is installed, and then when it was uninstalled the app didn't tell google it was removed so afatk it's still there.

i can only think to try using the phone with another gmail account and then reverting back

I'll give it a try.

Apparently It's quite a common problem, albeit not with people pirating the app, but with failed authentication when purchasing. Hopefully Google implement something that lets people remove once purchased apps.

Try clearing market data, see if that helps?
