According to the blog its the Full game, but after today will no longer be supported, so it is the full game just as it is now.

After the first 24 hours of its release, the PROMO version of the game will be removed from Google Play and will no longer be available. Subsequently, the PROMO version will be unsupported because we have no way to update the title once it's taken down.
This isn't how we would have wanted to do this but it's the only choice. It's not possible to change an app from free to paid on Google Play. So, in the unlikely event that players experience problems with the PROMO version, the solution will be to either download the FREE (demo version) version, or "upgrade" to the FULL paid version. This will only cost you £1.49 and for that, you'll be getting the full benefit of support and updates for the lifetime of the game. So c'mon now everybody, that's GOT to be more than a fair deal!

If they cant change it from free to paid, the most sensible idea would've been to have it on offer for 1p - that way it's still costing practically nothing but when they make it full price again, we still get support :)

Thanks for the heads up on this game though Confused! The one game I've never searched for on the Play Store! I lost HOURS playing that when I was in school... Nearly missed one of my GCSE's because me and my mate had to finish a level lol
 
I'm pretty sure you can change from free to paid, they just don't wanna give updates for users that got it for free, which I guess is fair enough.
 
They've given updates to iOS users who got it on the free promo - it seems a difference between the Apple store and Android store is whether you can change an app from free to paid and vice versa - because the iOS versions is free for today too.

Anyhoo - I've downloaded the free version, played the first level, and VERY impressed - so much so, that I'm very tempted to get the full version!

EniGmA1981, I agree actually that would have been a good idea - sell it for 1p and then increase the price.
 
Carmageddon seems to want a Wifi network to download anyway. I don't get games that do this. Why do they care how I download it? It's just frustrating. I use my phone as a wifi hotspot for my laptop because it's 2-5x faster than my landline internet.. I really don't like being forced to use the slow, **** wifi..
Cancelled downloading, I just don't care about it that much especially with ?promo shenanigans.

Ive been googling and there's not much out there, except exDialer. It keeps dialer and contacts in memory. Works fine.

Only downside is its a week trial, after that its £2.49.

If this app keeps stuff in memory then there must be a way round of keeping stock dialer in memory.

Mediaserver process keeps randomly keeping my phone awake :(

It doesn't happen all the time and there's NO media on the sdcard so I don't know what on earth is going on :(

Has anyone got the same problem?
