Just had a quick go with action launcher and it is really nice! Love the way when you swipe up on the dock icons and a pop up widget is brought up Kind of similar to how launcher pro worked but way better!

However, the lack of a few things means I have to stay with nova

Agreed, it depends on what you want the phone for. Decide how you use the phone and then find a plan. For me the data is what I want then texts and finally call time. So I have 300 minutes/5000 texts and unlimited data for £12.90 from Three

Google have uploaded the stock keyboard to the play store!

Hopefully they will start to do the same for other stock apps!

I think you can turn those off and put them back to the normal select tick boxes? Somewhere in the settings.

You can but then you don't get the checkboxes to select multiple emails, you have to long press.
