Yup, the google keyboard is awesome

Find it so much nicer than swiftkey and swype, prediction might not be as good but it isn't really too bad, much prefer the colour scheme and layout of stock.

I love the new swype feature where you can swype from the caps or symbols/number and then whatever it is that you swyped from, it brings up that area of the keyboard, so much quicker to add symbols etc. now, screenshot to show what I mean :p

I recommend Tasker

I use it for when I click my SAT/NAV (or any map app), to start GPS, Bluetooth, maximum brightness and sound.
Then when I close the SAT/NAV app, all the above gets switched off and set back to normal automatically.

I also use it to simple things, like switching on and off WiFi, when I open and close an app.

If you are confused about that last part, yes it doesn't make much sense, hard to explain :p :o

Just give it a go yourself and you will see what I mean :p

Starting from either the numbers key or the caps lock, swype from there over to the middle of the keyboard.

Can I ask how everyone is finding TVCatchup on Android in general? On both my android tablet and my Note 2 - it is constantly crashing out.

Works great for me, although the audio is often out of sync. Kept me sane for hours on end during night shifts!

And yes Nexus, got it now ta. Very cool!

I don't mind the new Gmail, was a bit surprised by it at first but not really finding it any better or worse in general. Initially hated the daft coloured squares with letters in them but I'm use to them now and actually find it quite handy.

Perhaps a little happier with it now, but that's on a Nexus 7, not sure I'd be as keen on a smaller screen.

Not a fan of the buttons being at the top, it's too far to reach on my note 2! Doesn't seem to be any way to move then back to the bottom so I've reverted to old Gmail.

Gmail App

Anyone know of a way to compress the rows in the Gmail app? The font and padding is too fat, meaning you don't get enough emails on the screen at once.

I understand that it's built to cater for people with normal smartphones but it would be nice to be able to see more on screen at once as I have a Note II.

I'm being super picky as it's a great app, but just wondered anyway!
