Nope you just install Ivona and set it as the default tts in Android. Google nav uses whatever is default.

Waze and Sygic as well as others do.not use Android tts settings sadly.

Navigation is improved, like that you can tap the bottom bar and get miles eta, time left and toa. The New UI is sweet too.

Cool. Wish they'd add speed too.

Is streetview working? I can't find how to activate it.

And yes Ivona is excellent. They have been in the testing phase for years lol.

Street view works :)

Also, Baconreader is a brilliant reddit app :D

haha :D Love that gif!

Will do, not using my phone too much lately except for browsing mainly, however, I use google now so it will be interesting to see, thanks :)

The new google maps is superb! Really like the UI  Although street view doesn't seem as good to me??? Not as responsive with this version I find.

Opera is really good now!

- Very speedy and smooth
- decent UI (still lack of full screen though....)
- great text reflow (a bit hit and miss and not quite as responsive as sense and sometimes it will "break" and the pages comes up saying something went wrong)
- lack of bookmarks/favourites but you have a speed dial page
- most importantly, renders text size/web pages perfectly!
- lack of general options like import bookmarks, history etc.

Might try the chrome beta out now and see.

Good to see that these "big" browsers are finally improving for android, I might be able to move away from the sense browser soon!

Just in case anyone missed it, my latest thoughts on firefox beta:

Firefox beta has finally got proper text reflow when you double tap to zoom AND pinch to zoom :D Not quite as responsive/smooth as the sense browser though but better than nothing!

Now fix the damn text size issue mozilla! :p And also get rid of the "bounce" effect when scrolling to the sides and bottom/top of web pages!

Aside from that, it is a lot better now! Still not as snappy/quick as stock etc. browsers when loading/rendering web pages but the performance when scrolling and on GIF intensive threads is very good, smooth as anything :)

UI still needs more work too!

I really don't like text reflow anymore - i prefer how chrome boosts text size but keeps the page format accurate. When it works that is lol.

I keep reading and hearing good things about this browser. Wish they'd release it onto the playstore.

Yeah imo, it is the best browser for all of android, it has everything you need/want (well for me anyway).

It is a shame that we can't port it to non sense ROMs/other devices.

I can't live without it these days! :p :o

As you pointed out there, if the text boost worked properly all the time on chrome (especially on this forum) then it wouldn't be so bad! :p Hopefully google will take Samsung's implementation!

true - bummer. Handy when you need quick alternative routes when in traffic.

You can still do it and it seems like you're cancelling the current route but it snaps back in right away so isn't an issue. It involves clicking the top bar to load alt routes after initially choosing destination to view alt routes, click Start to begin navigation, to view or change to an alt route click the x at the bottom left of the bottom bar and click the top bar on the following screen, choose an alt route and click start again.

The way HTC are going, it'd be wise for them to hold on to everything theyve got :p
