I've asked this on the Nexus 4 thread but thought I would post on here in case a non Nexus user can answer.
I am looking for an app that lets me set a timer (in this instance 11pm-8am) that either automatically turns sync off during this time or mutes just the notification sound and vibration.
The reason for this is I do on call work and I need to have the phone on so that if it rings the ringer will wake me up, but I do not want to have the emails that come in overnight also making sounds and waking me up as overnight emails are generally a load of rubbish.
On the S3 I had before there was an option in the email app to set a time to not sync, but this isnt on the Nexus 4 email app.
I have currently installed light flow lite which does give me this feature but only if I use that for the notification sounds which means that the work emails and the personal emails both have to have the same ringtone, which is not ideal.
I thought I had found the perfect app in Timeriffic until you actually go into it and it says notifications changes are not supported.
If anyone knows of anything it will be much appreciated as I would like to use the Nexus instead of the S3 moving forward.
I know I could just use a sync toggle, but I really want something automated that I can just setup once and forget about.
Does anyone know if there's a way to sync Outlook 2010 tasks/flagged up emails to Android? Be it in the Calendar/Keep/Something else.
As far as I can tell, syncing my exchange account to the aosp email app only does the calendar, contacts and email.
Haven't tried it on the Nexus yet, but on my S3 with the native email app, any flagged emails in outlook also showed as flagged on the S3.
There was an app I used a few months ago which allowed you to automate certain actions on the phone when connecting to particular wifi networks (bluetooth off, nfc off, sync off, brightness adjustment, volumes etc etc) but I cannot for the life of me remember its name![]()
Loving Textra so far having moved from Handcent SMS. Feels much quicker and prefer the UI. Thanks for the heads up.
Since Astrid was taken offline I am really struggling on a good todo list manager:
Can anyone recommend a good music app since the one i am using now seems to be pausing/muting sound for no reason when cycling to work.
Poweramp is hard to beat![]()
