Essential Android Apps

Question: if I pay for an app can I install it across multiple devices ? Or do I have to pay for every instance of it ? So if I get a new phone I need to pay all overagain even though I 'own ' the apps already ?

I wonder if the same applies if I link two Google accounts together. I don't really use gmail with my current Google account, so I want to create a new account which I can then use for everything.

Will look into it further when I get a chance to create a new account.

The paid app will link to whatever account the Play store is connected two (when you have two accounts, there's an option to switch accounts in the settings). I found it annoying a couple years back though when it sometimes defaulted to my university account (which uses Google) instead of my main account, no idea if the problem is still around.

Lol no, that would be mental. You just pay once and install
on any device your Google account is logged on to.

though the swiftkey devs try and charge you twice if you have bought it for your phone and then want to use the "tablet version" on your tablet. their reasoning is it's a completely different app but it's blatantly a money milking exercise.

They merged the apps a couple of weeks ago.

Swiftkey is really annoying me at the moment. I am typing away and it keeps auto completing words when I make a typo/accidental space press. It never used to be like this until the last few updates. Has something changed as I can't find an option to disable it.

I like the keyboard and layout etc but this is annoying me now. Don't want to use another keyboard if I have to.

exact same issue, it's completing words as you say after i guess a typo and i'm more incorrect then i've ever been with swiftkey. this i've only noticed since giong to n5, so maybe the bigger screen i am hitting the keys worse then before.

i still wish they'd let the delete key be moved. worse thing about swiftkey

I use my phone to play the radio and music on the various Bluetooth speakers we have in the house, however is there an app that allows you to use the speaker as well? So the radio would come out through Bluetooth and and a video over the speaker?

Woohoo! Hopefully its going to work in my One S running 4.1.1. I see its deleted all my current offline music, does anyone know how to check if the files are actually gone? I don't want them filling up my phone memory...

^ They're stored in SDcard0/Android/data/com.google.android.music. The update didn't wipe the files on my HOS (cache during playback option is ticked) I don't think this update effects us, unless you can now cache to multiple drives (USB otg drive etc)

Installed Bluestacks on pc (Windows 7) and so far Show Box works fine. No more connecting the phone to pc and transferring the media across. A little bit of setting up and its working good.
