Essential Android Games

just trying to play a SNES rom using SNESoid lite, and I can't get my head around the file system, when I connect my Desire via USB to my computer, I get the option of folders like Android, DCIM, download, media, but I can't find any folders that I can see on my Desire natively, i.e. sdcard/, app-cache/, cache/ etc?

because things like /cache /system are in the devices NAND (internal memory).

When you're connecting your Desire to the PC, you're mounting your SDCard, so you only see the folders on your SDCard.

Why is Lemmings not on Android yet?! :(

EDIT: Or Worms for that matter. These games would be perfect for android!

Woo, now that I am SenseUI free I've paired my Wiimote(s) with the Desire and am happily playing games \m/

The "WiimoteController" app supports classic controller connections and nunchuk too.

:D thats class! i forgot the WII remotes are bluetooth!
thats quality!

Angry Birds x3 - Free
Drag Racing - Free
Pokemon Tower Defence - Free, and has had a lot more play time than drag racing and all angry birds put together :O
Open Sudoku - Free
Wordfeud - Free

Thats kinda all i play, i use appbrain to find new popular games, but generally end up un-installing them :p

Recently I have been caining Drag Racing and Tower Raiders 2.

Last night I decided to put my phone through it's paces and got NOVA, Lets Golf 2 and Modern Combat.

Will take a bit of getting used to playing FPS with a touchscreen, but they all played fluidly as you like. :D

i'll have to try that drag racing one, is that LIVE ?
i play Racing Live, thats not bad, when you get the hang of it and coem out of camp mode (when you've built up enough $$$)

I’ve had an idea about a brilliant new dpad/button controller for smartphones it would be like playing on classic dpad again on smartphone games.

Who can I contact to get this idea off the ground? :D Going to contact local college/uni to find out next week :p

I don't know how well known it is, but I've sworn by 'Flood It' over the last 12 months. It's a game where you begin with 6 different colours and then you have to dominate the board in one colour within so many steps. I originally knew it as a PC game called Hexaconnect (link) and Flood It is the phone version of it and is available on Appbrain. It's good to while away those moments while waiting for a bus, although be warned - I have missed buses because of it!!
