But what are the controls like though?

i tried some games before (maybe not those type of games) and find it hard to use a d-pad on the touch screen, i dont think the phone market is good enough for games like that yet

For a £1 I'm trying the ones I like the look of by looking at the gameplay on youtube.

spiderman and asphalt are definitely worth buying!

Sadly some games are not supported on the SGS2's Mali-400 GPU.

No, stuck trying to do it over 3G as still at work, keeps either just going to the website or transaction failed. Will try it when I get home.

Nope still no luck. I get the text but it just goes round and back to the gameloft main site, although it seems to work if I try to buy on the normal price links on the main site.

Bought Asphalt from Gameloft. Downloaded the file and I just get an error saying that the file can't be parsed when I try to install O_O

Words with friends and chess with friends are pretty good, even though I'm running it on an evil iPhone I've managed to play a few mates who own android phones and it's worked well.

Checked the page this morning and now Spliter Cell is showing. Here's hoping they add support for more games before the weekend is out.

The best way is to go to the Gameloft site directly from your phone.

It turned out the reason it wasn't working was that I'd disabled mobile view pages in the browser, as it'd been causing an issue with a couple of sites (thier mobile versions sucked and normal was nicer to use). Once I'd swapped it over, everything worked as it should

As the GPU on the Desire (original) isn't too hot, unfortunately the number of games out the above I can grab is limited or at least it doesn't show them to me. Picked up Settlers, Eternal Legacy, Dungeon Hunter 1+2 and Starfront Collision for a fiver though

Now I've just got to hope it assigns my purchases correctly against my Paypal email address for future redownload

I like PES11 - looks like a PS2 game which is pretty good. Also Fast5 HD is a decent looking game.
