Essential iPhone Apps

Anyone got "Zumocast" yet? Makes me wish I hadn't paid for Airvideo now :(

Excellent streaming from your PC app though, pics, music and vids :D

I installed and then uninstalled it.
It seems to work ok but the interface isnt upto much, reading on other forums the security seems abit ify, and they keep on talking about premium service and from what i can gather it looks like the basic service will in the end be very basic and basically useless.

I know air video cant stream music yet but for my video needs air video is miles ahead of Zumocast.

Got a link?

The main thread was on the zumocast forum but this has dissappeared.
Heres another one just started though...

' I like the program. However, I have a serious concern. I shared a folder or two, then I unshared them and shared other folders. However, now the album artwork are all messed up, and artwork for videos from the previous folders are wrongly matched to the new files. I tried to refresh both my folders and on online access, and it would not solve the problem. I tried on another computer, and the same artworks would show up for the wrong videos. This is concerning to me not only because the artworks don’t match, but also that means anything I share is uploaded to your servers and it is difficult or impossible to erase. Please solve this issue, since this is a security/privacy concern for the program/service. Thank you.'

Also you have to have itunes running at the same time for this program to work which kills it for me also.

Guys, I tried, for the first time since getting my iPhone 4, to use Bluetooth today. Didn't get anywhere with it at all. Mate wanted to BT me a picture from his Samsung Wave. So I switched on BT and all my phone did was whirl away as "Searching" and underneath it showed the text "Discoverable Devices" but nothing else. I had at the time, 5 other phones around me that my m8's Samsung picked up but my iP4 could not see any of them. Mates Samsung could see my iP4 but when he tried to send the image it just said "Sending Failed" on his phone.

Any phones I have had before the iPhone had a few options for BT such as "Show my device as discoverable" etc but I can't see anything like extra options on the iP4 anywhere.

Any ideas?. Surely with such a hightec gizmo as an iP4 it should be easy to send and receive images via BT??!!!.

You can't use the bluetooth on the iphone to send files to and from other phones :( You can use something like bump to transfer images/contacts from iphone to iphone.

Edit: Did you get Hollywood Hospital free utajoker as it states that it is free in the description but is priced at 0.59p?

Only limited BT profiles work on iPhone - Apple too scared that it would allow file transfer of iTunes music originally - only headsets work and its not the latest audio profiles - theres just no such thing as BT file transfer...

ps3ud0

i did, it was the free app a day but its well worth 59p.

has anyone boght virtual city? it looks promising and with great reviews, its £1.79 though, ment to be better than sim city on iphone.

There are programs on Cydia that allow you to transfer files from phone to phone using bluetooth.

Can you suggest any in particular?. I had a look on the Appstore and so far all the apps that allow BT transfer of images etc only work from one iPhone to another iPhone but not between other makes. Haven't had a look on Cydia yet though, will have a browse just now.

Anyone who likes a bit of retro goodness should grab a copy of Monkey Island 2: Special edition, it's on sale at the moment for 59p - down from £4.99!
