This Sky Go app - Do you need to have a Sky Sports subscription for it to work?. I have Sky+ HD but just the family package with no sports. Can I use Sky Go to watch certain channels?.

AFAIK - yes, you need sports

I'm loving Sky Go! Quality is much better than expected, and I didn't realise you get movies too, thought it was just sports

Yeah, quality off Wifi is incredible! Not tried 3G yet, so cannot comment there, but as you say the addition of movies is awesome

would be really interested to know how much of your data allowence it would use watching say a 90 min game of football of 3G, i have a 500mb allowence with orange and doubt that would last very long at all

think its a lot, during the last world cup o2 had big problem as a lot of peeps were watch matches via tvcatchup and it was a problem for them.

I don't see why not?. I've mentioned certain tweaks that I"ve added via Cydia previously in this thread such as Lockinfo, SbSettings etc.

I got a text this morning saying I'd used 80% of my monthly allowance (500mb with O2). I watched about half an hour of cricket on and off and about 3 hours later got another text saying I'd used all my allowance.

Therefore the answer to your question is, a lot.

I have unlimited web with o2 :cool:

Which is to say, the allowance on the website shows 10Gb, and it never even counts down how much I have left that month.

A hell of a lot! I only got Sky Go working today as there were some problems on my account but I think I used about 150-200mb watching only 5-10 minutes of cricket. The quality over 3G was however, excellent.

Overall, it's a brilliant app which I can see getting better as they introduce more channels, but for those limited to <1Gb a month, it's Wifi only tbh.

Just come across the Dulux app. Really well done, missus has gone mad for it. You can take a photo and choose colours from the photo and it gives you the Dulux paint name. Can order testers for a £1 too.
