Well if you havn't tried it, get geoDefense, by far the best game on the iPhone imo. Better and more addicting than Fieldrunners which I found pretty dull after playing geoDefense.

Also got Beatmaker which is a pretty decent sequencer and loads of fun to use without being too complicated. Bit on the pricey side at a tenner though, but worth it if you enjoy putting some nice beats together easily.

I'm getting an ipod touch to go with a macbook pro (rebate deal for students/teachers atm). Any advice on apps that'd help me manage the MBP as a teacher in class? Or cool apps that i might be able to use as a science teacher?

Just found an app called Stanza, its an ebook reader where you can download free and paid for ebooks. Plenty of settings to play around with to change font, background colours and cover flow for your downloaded library. Also has a built in dictionary

ditto, may be tempted to see how well it works (or rather how annoying the adverts are every 20 minutes) for the free user!

Not really played it tbh. But from what I have seen I wouldn't bother getting it, looks like it's just a collection of mini games.

Money was better spent on flight control

Probably been mentioned before, but Tube Deluxe is essential if you travel by Tube in London. Not only do you get status updates on all the lines, but you can get directions to the nearest station and it can even tell you when the next train is due in! At 59p it's an absolute bargain.

Games wise, have been playing Ragdoll Blaster for the last couple of days, very addictive physics puzzler. £1.19 on the store atm.

If you really want to be anal then get Tube Exits as well; it tells you which carriage to get on to be closest to the exit.

Space Invaders Infinity Gene - fantastic game and very easy to control your spaceship

(you don't actually have to have your finger directly on the ship to move it, so you can actually see the whole game more clearly)

The navigon europe app is quite impressive, drains the battery like crazy though so I reckon an in car charger is a must as well as some kind of mounting bracket.
