Essential Tablet apps (Android)

Could you use splash top as a 'remote' for my Htpc? Can it work like that?

Technically yes, I've used it as a few times to control music on my PC. Problem is it'll change the resolution on the PC to match the tablet screen, so if your watching movies or TV it won't look nearly as good on the PC screen.

I use Unified Remote now, it has a full media remote and file browser.

Riptide gp is probably the best game I've played al round on the tablet... Water looks and acts awesome.

Extremely hit or miss. Android apps can be coded to a specific pixel count or a screen aspect ratio (inc %) iirc. Those with pixel counts don't zoom which obviously, is bad. If you have a specific in mind I can test for you if you'd like?

If you run a non-optimised tablet app does it just do what the iPad does and zoom it in?

Not really, most of the non optimized apps I've used just kind of resize so a lot of the buttons are normal size etc.

Here's a screenshot of tune in radio, which is not optimized:

Fruit ninja runs fine but there's also a tablet version of that.

Wish there was a tablet version of wordfeud... One of the annoying things about non optimized apps is that they sometimes want you to go portrait.
