Euro 2012 Qualifiers 7/8/11 October ** Spoilers**

To be fair, I can't afford to drink the amount I would if Scotland had got through so it's jsut as well.

Some things can be taken from the qualifying, *that* formation in Prague, the terrible ref at Hampden...

When is the England Spain friendly? We'll show Scotland how you beat the bull fighters!
 
Great few days for City players,
Dzeko scores 2, Nasri scores and great assist, Silva scores 2 and an assist, Savic with a great assist for a CB. Only downer is that Hart conceded although with the defence that was infront of him it is no surprise.
 
Bit disappointed with Spain's third goal, I thought the foul on the Scottish player immediately before it should have been given and was a shade disappointed (if not entirely surprised) with the ease of some of the Spanish players falling over. However there's not the slightest question about them deserving the win, I can't see many teams looking forward to playing them in the near future if they can keep playing like that - maybe a slight glimmer for some of the better teams based on the apparent drop in concentration between 75-85 minutes if that were to be a regular thing but unlikely. David Goodwillie's penalty was a bit cheeky although well taken, the stuttering run up could have been an issue if the referee had felt so inclined though couldn't it?

I'm aware it wasn't a full strength Spain team but I don't think Scotland disgraced themselves by any means there, leaving yourself requiring a good result against the European and World Champions however is a big ask at the best of times.

I'm upset with Lithuania, all they had to do was win but no, with almost their very first action they give away a daft penalty and it was downhill from there.

The seeded teams are Croatia, Portugal, Republic of Ireland, and Czech Republic.

The unseeded teams are Turkey, Bosnia & Herzegovina, Montenegro, and Estonia.

Well it went as I predicted and I now have to don the wife's irish jersey for the next set of games...
