Any idea on how the mods in ETS 2 work?

As in, do texture replacers load in alphabetical order, or if there's a conflict, not at all?

I don't see why not, but to play on the safe side don't attempt to play more than one instance of the game. You would end up with 2 different profiles though, unless you copied them over each time you swapped machine.

Will check it out. Are mountain passes in game? Some really long tight uphill and downhill routes with those gravel speed traps would be cool.

the roads out from italy are quite good mainly the single roads and not the motorways obviously

and the road from torino to bern is quite good too. and the single carriageway out of innsbruck is nice also.

theres one where you go through a tunnel but the side is open so you can see out but cant remember where that was, it could have been through swiss alps just make sure you have a powerfull truck as its quite steep i was down to 4th in some places and it was just crawling

im up to about 68% of the map discovered but i think ive gone over most of the mountain pass roads

Can you get caught speeding or charged by the police if you hit other vehicles etc ?

I think it would be awesome if you have to watch your speed etc as your going in case you pass a police speed trap !

Yes titchy there are speed cameras with fines and if you cause an accident you get fined, also fines for red lights.

U get speeding tickets..there are no police in game if u crash you just have a hefty repair bill to pay

I'm not entirely sure, I've just been replacing graphics but using the same name, so straight swaps.

I think the game just checks the mods folder for any like for like folder structures and if they exist they use the mod folder version.

If you had two or more mods with folder structures for same location im not sure what would happen, I guess you will have a winner and loser just like game files lose if mod exists.

That's what I thought, hence my question whether the mod uses alphabetical order of the mod names to load them, as that would make sense and could help in ironing out incompatibilities (probably).

Anyway, since the folders structure is easy enough to figure out, it shouldn't be too hard to check which mods are incompatible.

On another note, is anyone using the Hard Economics mod by merlinita? It seems to fix a lot of issues with unrealistic prices and overinflated economy.

installing the company name mods, petrol station mods, and the non licensed trucks to licensed is a must.

this game has some real nice touches, I was just driving through austria and it started raining big time and it was heavy fog too.

ive tried downloading the Realistic Physics Mod and it says Unzip the .scs archives into your "My Documents\Euro Truck Simulator 2\mod" folder but the download doesnt have any scs files in it, all it have is a folder saying Def/vehicle/truck and then the truck names any ideas?

unless your using a steering wheel the physics mod is terrible with keyboard.

the cab bounces too much when pulling away, I was using the latest 1.5 version
