I played the older mod version and thought it was one of the better mods for rfactor until they changed the physics and it lost a little bit.

This version is by another group and is a stand alone game.
I also had Mercedes Benz truck racing and that wasn't to bad either but it's quite old.
There is also a free version Renault Truck Racing but I didn't find it as much fun.

Apart from these mods what else do I need? not been on it for a while....

There was a Mercedes-Benz one a few years back. I picked it up for a tenner and it was rather good fun. Racing trucks are speed limited which makes for a different style of racing.

I think this could be the basis for an immense game, if they leave the physics alone and just work on the actual motorways now they could have a franchise within all of the simulators!

Imagine if all the sims were combined as a real time mmo. Farm, train, truck etc.. Now that would be something.

Quite an addictive game.

Just a couple of questions if I may:

What mods do you recommend and where can I download them?
I was going too fast round a corner and my truck toppled. How do I get it back on its wheels?

I don't know about mods, but I think you have to use the sat nav thing to call the service centre and be transported to the nearest garage.

This is now available on Steam. Existing keys are supposed to work regardless of where you bought it from although mine isn't recognised yet.
