nice mod, found the volvo was the fastest at 95 mph with a 750hp engine :D I feel like playing need for speed now, any advise on which one to play I only like the older ones from underground to most wanted (old one not the newer one)

gave the demo a go.

its so different to real life i couldnt do it :p

using the xbox wheel was hard as the steering was in steps rather than smooth so had to keep adjusting the steering mid corner. took out quite a few cars.

i think i do enough of this in real life so dont need a game for it too :p

Chuck money at an expensive wheel and I'm sure it'll be awesome!

I love this game, I've been playing it for a while now, about level 25 :)

Been playing a lot too :D bit odd that you can keep leveling after you max everything, there's nothing else to gain with each level

another question I have about this, what is the benefit of upgrading to an extra set of wheels on the back of the truck? all it seems to do is take away fuel capacity

There are 250 Levels... Seems a bit overboard to me...

It increases traction, the amount of wheels in the xxx[/x] (hard to explain) is the amount of wheels that get power, I believe. I'll try find a link in a min.

Better handling. I remember being able to take some corners at a higher speed compared to using a single axle.

Plus in real life the additional axle is used for load bearing purposes. Whether or not this is taken into account ingame I don't know.

It does impact fuel capacity quite a lot! my Volvo FH16 has about half the capacity now i think but it can take corners a lot quicker, makes it very stable.

Also I noticed an increase in stability when upgrading the tyres too.

I hope they add new loads to the game, would be good to have more extreme loads, such as really wide or long ones.

You can get mods for them but would prefer SCS to do it.

Also an option to remove speed limiter, yay no more mods for that, FFB interesting ill find my wheel and test, it was so pathetic before lol, time for a clean profile or at least disable the mods untill they are made to work.

New FFB is a little meh, its more or less rumble effects, still feels like the truck hasnt got any weight, id like to feel a little more, steering still feels light when braking hard with a 20t trailer behind (ive no idea if thats true could well be) the white lines at the edge of the motorway have a nice rumble effect, going up and down kerbs jolts the wheel, thats about all i can tell. Using a T500RS could well be different on a g25/g27 - fanatec offering. Also more sliders for various effects like environment etc.

Another option i like, is the reverse beeping can now be turned off, did my head in most of the time as it was too loud.

Patch looks good, but I'll hold out until TSMv2.2 and Custom AI Realistic Medium Traffic Mod get updated, as these 2 mods alone are fanatastic.

TSM v3 came out last week. Did strike me as strange timing to be honest given the official 1.4 patch was nearly ready for a couple of weeks. I did try it briefly but it repeatedly crashes the game when I get to a town/port as v2.2 did. Tweaking around with the memory pool setting makes no difference.

FFB seems OK on the G27. Developers have said they spent some time getting the FFB accurate. The lack of weight and vague feeling around the straight ahead option is intended. Having not driven a truck I'll trust their judgement.

More info here.

I kinda figured the FFB would be something like that, its just an odd FFB which resembles more of a rumble feedback to me at least on the t500, i didnt mess with the ffb sliders too much as it was a quick test - im missing my mods though :(

Been playing the demo for this and really enjoyed the first few jobs. Is it worthy of a purchase guys? Can an Xbox 360 controller be used as I reckon I'd enjoy that?

Why do I find driving a lorry simulator interesting and fun is beyond me!

Yeah, 360 pad works well. I used one for a few months, only recently got a decent Logitech wheel (and that was for iRacing...). I found the steering a little sensitive, benefitted from a slightly bigger deadzone.
