Euromillions

Not going to lie. But if I did win a big euromillion draw. One of the very first things id do (besides the screaming and dancing) Would be to order a silly PC and an array of huge screens. While im waiting for that id think what to do with the rest.

Id probably pop down to the co-op for some food and drink too :) And while waiting a whole 24 hours for the PC to arrive... buy steam games. At full price... cos I could.

Yeah im a wild one.

Lets hope you don't win, then.

I remember reading it somewhere.

Certainly not in days.

First off is confirming your win over the phone.

Then someone comes to meet you again to confirm the win.

Then they have to sort out giving you the money and such.

Its not just a bank transfer to your RBS account online.

No doubt you get a lot of financial advice...

You can obviously just claim the winnings up to a certain point.

But those big wins take time.

The money also has to be collected from all the ticket sales too. The euro millions takes longer.

well I just bought 5 tickets (never done euro millions ) so here's hoping. if I do win, then yeh, wont tell no one, that's just insane. don't need no beggers hanging around.

Why couldn't it be days? Day one: take your ticket to London, heading straight to the Camelot offices... then get given options... then get money transferred to wherever. What else needs to be done? If someone's bought a ticket online, obvs take all your ID/proof of address/etc. I can see it all being done within a matter of days.

 if I win I have to go to London :( I don't have a car

Because they have to collect the money from all the stores. They have to deduct all the small wins from the jackpot and pay everyone else too. They have to confirm your details the ticket, other winners from all over europe.

Its not my idea >.< just how it is. after a quick google some say it can potentially take as long as 9 months. And i heard up to a year on a TV program about lotto winners.

******** does it take 9 months. You'd lose way too much interest. I think that's what I'd do for the first few months. Live of the interest, that is.
