Euromillions

I splashed out on another 10 lucky dips this morning on the way to work. I must be nuts. Don't have a snowballs hope in hell of actually winning.

In the EXTREMELY unlikely event I scooped the jacket though, how much of that £133 million would I actually get? I imagine they shave up a huge whack of it for tax.

Gambling winnings don't get taxed.
 
As far as I understand it the lottery it like any other gambling, therefore taken as winnings and not money earnt so no tax to be paid. Once in the bank though, oh dear god that would be a lot of interest tax lol.

Good job I saw this thread though, reminds to buy my ticket :)

I shall remember you all when I win and share the love of my winnings by posting some epic build logs for you to drool over haha.

a lot of other people do it so, if I win the jackpot 10k to the next 10 posters :p
 
I've got 2 lines in 2 online syndicates with 49 other people.

So £6 has given me a 100 in 116 million chance to win 2.6 million, and also 100 in however many UK tickets are sold chance in winning £20k.

Also in it for £10k as per the above :D
