Euromillions

Sooooo much money, enough for many lifes over and wouldn't know what to do with it all.

The scariest part would be that it could change some people for the worse around you, either they want the money that you have, they expect you now to pay for everything or if you help them all out they become somebody else, knowing you are always there to help them again.

Part of me would just want to get on the next plane and disappear and travel for a few years (in luxuary :p) and come back to live in modesty, buy some land somewhere outskirt of town and just continue to travel and take pictures.
I quite like the plan where you keep quiet until the lotto goes for £1.5m or something on a wednesday and just say you won that instead. It's not such a huge amount that people would pester you for enormous sums but they'd probably be ok if you gave them 20k.

Having one of those days talking about what you would do...

Pay off every mortgage in my family, get on a plane and go wherever I want for a year. Come back, buy a house, couple of nice cars then invest!

Can't help but think of bad luck brian. Wins euromillions, dies in planecrash leaving country.

You'll be surprised.
If people find out you won even £10k, they'd want a piece of that.

Greed knows no bounds.

I always think of it like this, but I'd want to keep it quiet forever, even from direct family as who knows who my mother and sister would tell ;)

As for it changing others this is obvious, I don't think it makes them any different to me though, I think if we knew a close friend that won an insane amount we'd like a little helping hand. The problem which you raised would be them wanting you to cover everything, I wouldn't have a problem with this for nights out, but if it extended to bills etc they could jog on.

So simply go back to keeping it quiet from everyone, 6-12 months after I win say I'm making millions on the stock market or I've sold an online company I can't disclose for NDA reasons.

£141 million though, go to every F1 Race, World Cup, Champions League, Superbowl matches for the rest of time with anyone who wanted to join me from my close circle of friends and enjoy life, would take the stress of life before It's even really started. I'd think it'd change me though sadly. For better or worse I wouldn't know for a few years.

Do any of the people in syndicates do this because they honestly believe they'll win or because they don't want to be the last one left in the office if the syndicate does win? :o
