I think the problem we have is the top British singers don't want to do it. It's kinda embarassing and it does nothing for them if they are already famous.

But also the politics, Europe is a bit of a club. Australia and Ireland didn't even get to the final this time.

I actually don't think our song was that bad, there has certainly been worse that we've gone in with. The performance was a little iffy, in the verses.

I guess we aren't liked much in these waters anymore.. lol

Besides the social schism of the last decade and the typical political shenanigans, we had a bland, generic pop song which doesn't sound good live to me tbqh and frankly I didn't like the singer either.

I've been thinking for a while that the UK should actually lean right into what is clearly now a meme and treat our entry as a joke, go right for that schlock vote with a surreal theme, costuming, choreography and pit that against a decent (NOT-GENERIC, NOT POP) song from a band willing to not take it seriously.

I actually liked the Russian Babushka entry from several years ago...
