That’s fine, either add a socket into the existing cable run or wire directly into the existing breaker.

Or use a quality extension lead.

Also consider the granny changer will have a decent length of cable on it already. Mines 5 meters.

Can I have the wiring for the new socket added to the same breaker as the existing sockets? I don't think I will be using the other socket while having the granny charger plugged in, but there is a freezer connected 24/7. If it pulls 2-3A would it be ok?

Yes, that is acceptable as long as they have a sufficient rating for the breaker.

The breaker will flip if the draw breaches 16A in total.

All done. Charging at 2kW (so around 9A) without any issues.
The extension lead was also good idea but needed another socket anyway.
