You seem to be trying to imply adding (bolting or whatever) a incredibly stiff solid object to a car has no effect on its structural stiffness.
True but the engine will begin to wear out unless you spend a lot of money keeping it in good shape and the fuel tank will get some crap in it in time no doubtFuel tanks don’t get smaller as an ICE ages. And a ICE is relatively easy to repair. Again your view points are not reflecting the market where residuals are a concern

I’m suggesting this is not a new thing and actually bolting a battery to a body that doesn’t have a floor and then carries the seats in is actually a compromise to a typical body structure and battery then bolted in. Like a Taycan. This is pretty basic fundamentals of mechanical

I just gave an example of the stories that put people off EV. Either directly or from hearing about experiences like that. People are scared of new technology ( this forum is obviously not the place to make such statement)
